Growing In Faith Together

Growing In Faith Together

Growing In Faith Together

What a gift this church is! That’s why our theme for Stewardship is so great this year! Growing In Faith Together is our theme for Stewardship this year. It spells GIFT!

We are experiencing so many gifts this year. Let’s see, we have the gift of our new members; the gift of new energy; the gift of six Confirmands; the gift of sharing Confirmation with Good Shepherd South Asian Ministry; the gift of many visitors; the gift and vision of our Four-Church Effort; the gift of a Stewardship Team with Linda M and Linda H; the gift of a dedicated Council and a marvelous staff! And the list goes on and on.
As we move forward into the four weeks of focus on Growing In Faith Together, I look forward to sharing faith stories with and from all of you. In the meantime, think about what God is calling you to share this year of your time, your talent, and your treasure. Every ounce of effort is needed to continue to grow the church, to grow God’s ministry and to Grow In Faith
Together. Amen!  Alleluia!
                     In Christ,
                     Pastor Barbara

Our Ministries, Our Church, Our Time, Talent and Treasure!

Stewardship – It’s a Gift!

Our Ministries, Our Church, Our Time, Talent and Treasure!
This year, we have chosen the theme “Growing in Faith Together – GIFT” for our annual stewardship drive. You are truly a GIFT to our Holy Redeemer congregation! You represent what is best about Holy Redeemer, our joyful relationships with God and one another. Each of us in our own way come together to make Holy Redeemer what it is: rooted in God’s grace and growing in faith together. What a GIFT that is!
Through your faithful giving of time, talent, and treasure to the ministries of our church you have made a difference in the lives of people near and far. From worship services to children and adults growing in our faith together to world missions through the ELCA, we enrich the lives of countless people around the globe. Each life touched by the ministries of Holy Redeemer is a shining example of God’s love and grace, lived out daily. You make all of this possible!
Please keep an eye out at church on Sundays for the stewardship packets. The packets will be on the table in the back of the sanctuary. Pick one up and take a look. We are asking that you challenge yourself to give in a regular and disciplined way. I promise you won’t regret it. God has blessed us all and our annual stewardship campaign is an important and vital way to give back – not just to our church, our community, but to God and our mission to be an inclusive community by reaching out to all, sharing the word of God in service and love, and encouraging, nurturing, and empowering all for ministry.
My prayer is that you will be with us during the remaining weeks of our Journey Grow in Faith Together, that you are making plans now to attend church on Commitment Sunday, October 21. Please take time to prayerfully discern your gifts for this coming year. Please return the Stewardship commitment card either via mail, the collection basket or securely online on our website.
Now we invite you to pray and give thanks for all of the ways this congregation blesses you, our members and our community.
Thank you!

Oh Jonah!

Oh Jonah!

Oh Jonah!

We had a wonderful week with 15 children participating in this past week’s Musical Theater Camp, and 23 children participating in Vacation Bible School!

The children will be performing the musical/play, called, “Oh, Jonah!” written by Allen Pote and Carole McCann, this Friday, June 29, 2018, 6:30pm at HRLC. Come join us! If you’re unable to come Friday, no worries, the children will again perform the musical/play this Sunday, July 1st during Sunday worship at HRLC.
